Tropical Storm Richard

Tropical Storm Richard, Tropical Depression 19 became Tropical Storm officially Richard this morning, the 17th named storm of hurricane season. With sustained winds of 40 mph, Richard has been spinning about 235 miles south-southeast of Grand Cayman to 17 hours, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Dennis Feltgen, a spokesperson for the Miami-based center, says:

“Given the ideal environment, some of the models are suggesting this could be a major hurricane in a few days. It’s not out of the question.”

This could be bad news for those living along the forecast track of the Gulf Coast move shows Richard in the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, before slipping into the Gulf of Mexico.     I am trying to get all of my friends who own houses to put impact windows and doors in so that when a bad storm or tornado comes, there will be less of a chance to have 2×4′s going through their windows.
