SonicWALL: Two New Sonic Access Points Point-Point-Ne Ni and Sonic for Distributed, Wireless Networks

Munich – SonicWALL, a leading provider of intelligent network and data security solutions, announces two new access points: the point-Ni Sonic and the Sonic Point-Ne. The two products work conforms to the Wi-Fi standard 802.11n. These dual-band single-radio devices integrate seamlessly with the existing product portfolio of SonicWALL’s TZ series, Network Security Appliance (NSA) and E-Class NSA.

The new Sonic points support Clean Wireless. Clean Wireless combines the industry-leading firewall and VPN protection to the wireless access points the SonicWALL and the SonicWALL Power over Ethernet adapters. Thus, wireless networks can be safe, simple and inexpensive design: The overall solution has all the necessary protective measures such as anti-virus gateway, intrusion prevention, anti-spyware and content filtering. It examines all traffic for malicious programs and computer pests as well as communication with unsafe or dangerous websites. The Clean-wireless solution offers the following encryption standards WEP to WPA2, Intrusion Prevention for wireless infrastructure and Rogue Access Point Detection, in order not to detect unauthorized access points. The solution examines all traffic at the application (Application Intelligence and Control).

Sonic Sonic Point and Point-Ni-Ne can be integrated seamlessly into existing environments, SonicWALL. Over in the integrated SonicWALL firewalls wireless switch and controller, the access points are automatically detected and set up. Administrators is a comprehensive management platform that can manage with it both the wireless and the wired network traffic. This simplifies the initial setup of the access points as well as the ongoing policy management of all network segments. Sonic Sonic Point and Point-Ni-Ne also allow so-called “roaming” users can move at their terminal equipment from one access point to the next free, without losing the connection is lost, or they have to authenticate again.
